Rec Fall 2026 Spring 2027
Rec soccer is a great way for kids ages 2 -14 to learn to enjoy the beautiful game of soccer and have a lot of fun with their buddies. Cardinal Soccer Club is dedicated to providing this positive soccer experience to every young player in our club. Depending on the number of teams we can form, we will either play in an inter-city league against nearby rec clubs, or we may be able to play all in-house against other CSC rec teams. We play all our home games and practices on Mentor School fields or at McMinn Park in Mentor-on-the-Lake. So it's very close and convenient for our members. While we are a community-based Mentor club, membership is open to families in all surrounding communities.
Whether your child has been playing for a few years or just starting, our teams are built with a wide range of experience and skills. This helps promote learning and balances out the teams so everyone gets a chance to have some fun.
Cardinal Soccer relies heavily on our volunteer coaches. While some Rec coaches have played in high school or college, no experience is required. Rec coaches will earn one free rec registration for their child as our way of saying "Thank You!". If you have questions about coaching, contact the Rec VP at cscvp.rec@gmail.com.
The registration fee will be $175, which includes the Spring soccer season. This price includes a jersey and socks. Your child will play around eight games each season and have weekly practices as weather and scheduling permits. Late registrations may be taken if there is room for the player. Please note, late registrations will have a $20 late fee added as well as the possibility of a delay in receiving a uniform.
Cardinal Soccer Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing area youth with the opportunity to learn and play soccer to the level of her/his desire and ability while promoting a positive and safe environment.
